The product marketing team vision at Freeletics is to drive the understanding of the entire user journey to ensure a unique product marketing experience by delivering the right product to the right segments, using the right content at all relevant user touch points to create a long lasting value for our users
As the Director of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for setting up Freeletics product marketing and communication strategy to drive user engagement with our product portfolios. With your strategic mindset, passion for the digital fitness industry and storytelling skills, you will develop and roll out go-to-market strategies and message positioning plans for new content and feature releases
The role is open for a remote start until it is convenient for a relocation to Munich once the COVID situation stabilises

Your responsibilities

  • Set and lead the marketing vision and strategy together with the CMO
  • Collaborate with the marketing leadership team, along with data, coach, engineering, design and research teams to achieve Freeletics growth targets
  • Own the why and the how of the Freeletics marketing roadmap and leverage the product through consistent and concise communication throughout the organisation
  • Collaborate with the team in content marketing from brand, PR, and content strategists to develop go-to-market strategies, and storyline for product related launches for key user segments
  • Lead and mentor the product marketing team, including localization, product marketing managers and campaign management
  • Connect the product marketing organisation with other functions, stakeholders to increase alignment from idea to execution
  • Drive growth and support marketing efforts through your visibility and network
  • Develop deep business understanding and stay intimately connected to our users (online and offline)
  • Drive use of data throughout marketing and own relevant metrics to drive Freeletics growth goals
  • Manage external relations with marketing and product partners
  • Align eCommerce (Freeletics Essentials) activities into the larger marketing context and ensure proper delivery of Essentials results

Your profile

  • 8+ years of marketing experience in a consumer facing tech product, preferably in mobile-app or subscription based product
  • 4+ years of experience leading a team
  • Solid project management, business acumen, commercial and marketing communication skills
  • Storyteller, problem solver and analytical thinker
  • Strong communication skills with ability to create consensus and steer communication towards common goal with different stakeholders
  • Proven ability to develop go-to-market launches from the ground up in a start-up or visible brands
  • Numbers driven with ability to communicate insights to different stakeholders levels
  • Track record in delivering results and creating impact
  • Entrepreneurial and agile mindset, and eager to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
  • Adaptable and able to lead through ambiguity and uncertainty
